iWiSS 2027 is committed to widening participation and supporting students, early-career researchers, and researchers from underrepresented regions through a range of awards and financial support opportunities.
1. Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition Award
Communicate Complex Research in 180 Seconds
The iWiSS 2027 3MT competition challenges postgraduate researchers to communicate their research effectively in just three minutes using a single presentation slide.

Grants & Scholarships
2. Student Travel Grants
A limited number of travel grants will be available to assist students presenting their research at iWiSS 2027.
- Registration support/discount
- Travel and/or Accommodation contribution
Undergraduate, Master's, and PhD students with an accepted abstract who are registered for the conference.
Quality of submitted abstract, demonstrated need, and geographic diversity.
3. Early Career Researcher (ECR) Scholarships
Scholarships designed to support postdoctoral researchers and academics within five years of their highest degree.

4. Inclusion & Accessibility Support Fund
To encourage broad participation, iWiSS 2027 may offer limited accessibility support for delegates requiring additional assistance.

Awards recognizing outstanding oral and poster presentations.

- Awards are competitive and subject to available funding.
- Decisions of the selection committee are final.
- One applicant may receive only one major funding award unless otherwise stated.
